2026 · Big Sky, Montana
Grand Taste Day 1 and Day 2 at the Big Sky Events Arena, 450 Aspen Leaf Dr. One continuous live-edge plank with interspersed farm tables in a U, with chef and winery stations alternating so nearly every dish has a pour on both flanks and back-of-house service running behind all three runs.
Prepare and ship as much of your product as you possibly can.
Festival outreach has asked every chef to prep and ship product ahead wherever possible. Big Sky is a tough place to get specialty items — please source everything you can at your home restaurant and ship it in rather than planning to find it here.
How the stations sit on the table, and what is still being decided.
Our concept uses live edge slabs and farm tables to create one big U-shaped table arrangement in the Grand Hall. In this area each chef and winery is allocated designated space instead of having independent tables. These areas will be signified by wood-burned signs attached to the cedar walls behind the stations, each carrying the name of the restaurant or winery represented, set in the Big Sky Food & Wine brand fonts.
Some stations will have a hightop front based on need and availability. The final look is still being determined as they are manufactured items. They will likely be reserved for chefs who require chafers or similar equipment to hide unseemly items.
Some stations may need to adjust based on power needs and other factors. Treat the positions that follow as the working plan, not the final one.
Wood, clay and hammered metal are recommended for any serving or display pieces that are needed.
Drawn to the original 94' × 63' plan. Click any station to jump to its detail. Positions run clockwise from the northwest entry. Tentative — stations may shift with power needs.
Every position in walk order, with the dish or the pour and the reason it sits there.

What is on site for chefs to work with. The prep kitchen sits back of house on the festival grounds, next to the ice trailer and the temperature-controlled product container.
All equipment requested on the chef submission form has been sourced and will be on site. If there is an item you have forgotten, please get in touch with Peter Lodi or Mo Mohammad.
Induction and butane cooking are allowed at your station inside the Grand Tasting tent.
Live fire grilling is not. There are no exterior grill stations this year — every station serves from the live-edge plank inside the tent. The propane char grills and flat tops listed below live in the prep kitchen, not on the tasting floor.
In the prep kitchen, back of house. Shared across all chefs serving that day.
